The Edge series marked a departure from imagery.   Following years of experimentation with glazing, I drew on my fascination with the point at which the edges or outlines of natural features meet another plane - sea, sky, horizon.  Edge explores the place where one becomes another - an interchange of light and color.  The Edge paintings are studies in color, light, and surface, with veils of color, mysterious light sources, and blurred edges built up over time.
